High-alpine Dolomite Path No. 1
The High-alpine Dolomite Path is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Alps, and the natural north-south crossing of the eastern Dolomites. You hike through interesting areas of exceptional natural beauty. The so-called "Alta Via No. 1 delle Dolomiti" starts at Braies Lake in the Puster Valley and comprises 150 km (60 km air-line distance). It leads over eleven Dolomite mountain groups and 3 large Dolomite passes to the town of Belluno located at the southern border of the Alps. This "dream trail" for all hikers features an average altitude of 2000 m – so you have to expect high-alpine conditions!
Furthermore, numerous
hiking paths and
climbing tours can be enjoyed in the areas of Pederü/Pederoa and St. Vigil in Enneberg/S. Vigilio di Marebbe. Sometimes during your hikes you might also meet marmots, squirrels, deer, chamois and the golden eagle. From the peaks you enjoy a breathtaking view.
Families with children can discover the educational path "Le Rëgn de Fanes", the world of Dolomite legends and Ladin culture, together with the princesses Luianta and Dolasila.
